Homemade Maraschino Cherries

These Homemade Maraschino Cherries are nothing like the florescent-red orbs you think of in a Mai Tai or Shirley Temple…or the offensive fruit you have to pick out of canned fruit cocktail. They are divine on cheesecake, panna cotta, Eton’s mess or simply on a scoop of vanilla ice cream which I highly, highly recommend!
